    Dates: Wednesdays, Jan 10 – Mar 27, 2024, 9:00-10:00am EST
    Location: Online

In this course, students will gain a deeper understanding of the python language. Students will be given the opportunity to write their own code and customize their projects to their liking.

This is a project-based course, and each 3-week period will focus on coding a new python project. The weekly schedule is as follows:
    Week 1 – 3: Snake Game
    Week 4 – 6: A Webpage
    Week 7 – 9: A Data Visualization Graphic
    Week 10 – 12: An AI-based chatbot

My role in this class will be to enable students to build upon familiar concepts to strengthen their control of Python. In addition, as an engineer, I will take a small portion of the class to discuss potential career options in engineering – and where coding in Python would be applied in these career options.

**Note: This class is intended for students who have already been introduced to basic python concepts (syntax, variables, conditionals, for/while loops, functions). For beginner Python classes, please check out my other courses.**

Looking to get your child started with advance coding? I highly recommend the Python class taught by Teacher Afifa! She has a great way of making coding easy to understand and fun. She focuses on teaching kids the logic behind coding and problem-solving by using creative and project-based learning methods.

Teacher Afifa really knows how to create a collaborative environment. She encourages the kids to talk through the solutions together, which helps them understand different approaches and learn from each other.

Another cool thing about her classes is how she motivates students to bring their learning home. She encouraged them to talk about what they learned with their families and even to collect data for their projects from around the house, which made the whole learning experience really engaging and personal.

The classes always start on time, and she’s always there to answer questions after class if anyone needs extra help. On top of that, she’s great at keeping parents updated on how our kids are doing and is always open to feedback to make the class better.

So, if you’re considering this Python class, I’d say definitely go for it. My child not only improved their coding skills but is now even more confident in tackling challenges and solving problems.

Afifa was a great instructor, her enthusiasm is natural and my kids absolutely loved her and her way of teaching. We started in November 2023 with her and we continued till March 2024. I look forward for her classes to restart. I highly recommend her, she made the classes interactive and took time to explain concepts
