    Location: Rm 211, 441 Nugget Avenue Scarborough, ON, M1S 5E1

    Ages: 7-10 years old recommended (for younger or older students, please contact afifa@deenward.com before registering)

    In this workshop, students will delve into the steps of Hajj and their significance with hands-on interactive challenges using robotics. Students will create their own Hajj maps to display the significant landmarks of Hajj and program robots to traverse their maps to complete the pilgrimage. This workshop will cover an introduction to maps and direction, rituals of Hajj, how the parts of a robot work (including sensors, motors, control panel) and how to program a robot (offline). Students will also be familiarized with common engineering design practices, to build resilience, adaptability and collaboration. This workshop will not cover coding or use laptops. 

    This is a drop-off program.

    Photos and videos may be taken at this event, to be used in the short-term for advertising and marketing purposes. However, they will be anonymized and will never include a student’s face, identifying details or be taken from close up.
