Weekend School – Embracing Nature Immersion

This is a Qur’an & Islamic Studies weekend school program that will provide young students with the essential knowledge they need to know about Allah the Most High. Through Islamically integrated inquiry and play-based learning, your child will experience the joy of understanding the kalimatain, connecting with short suwar (plural of Surah), develop tajweedi pronunciation, and benefit from great company.

Please note that our emphasis will be on developing student’s fundamental Islamic knowledge and on exposure to recitation wih tajweed.

STUDENT AGES

Please note that we are accepting students born within December 2015 – August 2019. Students with learning exceptionalities are welcome.

If your child is not within this age range, please email seedlingsofjannah@gmail.com with the subject headline WAITLIST and indicate the names and ages of the children you wish to register who are not in this age range. Inshaa Allah, we are trying to accommodate for different age groups through different programs.

LOCATION

Seedlings of Jannah located at Meadowvale and Ellesmere in Scarborough.

DATES & TIMES

Sundays – 9 AM – 12 PM

(Nov 5, 12, 19, 26 & Dec 3)

The goal is to continue teaching on Sundays from November to June, inshaa Allah, with holidays in mid/late December.

INSTRUCTORS

Our Islamic Studies teacher and program director is a mother, an Ontario Certified Teacher (K-12), advanced tajweed student and student of sacred sciences with a few accredited institutions . She has been teaching for over a decade with a concentration on young students.

We also have a supply roster of qualified teachers, should an instructor not be able to make it to a session due to an emergency or illness.

PAYMENT

$150/student for November 4 – December 2. These fees are non-refundable and are to be made via e-transfer by October 14th, 2023. Due to the support of generous donors, breakfast and field trip admission fees are included in the fees structure. Details will be provided to successful applicants.
