Assalam-o-Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh! My name is Hafsa Idrees. I am an aspiring teacher who is passionate about teaching children to love learning while ensuring they are reaching their highest potential. My goal is to ensure that students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills which are crucial in higher education and professional development. I previously taught at MAC Maple Grove School as an Elementary Teacher. I graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor’s of Science specializing in biochemistry. I am also a Taekwondo instructor with over 8 years of experience in the sport. My focus is to instill discipline and character while teaching students the art of self-defense. I believe it is important for everyone to not only focus on academic development, but also physical, emotional, and spiritual development. I use a holistic approach to develop classes and programs that combine all aspects and provide students with an enriching, challenging, and pleasant environment. My teaching philosophy is to create a challenging yet enjoyable learning environment to nurture student success through problem-solving and hands-on learning.
