Hey! Assalamu Alaikum! My name is Hana Abdi and I have a background in the subjects of literacy and language Arts for elementary and secondary students. I have a passion for reading and writing, which has led me to pursue my Bachelor of Arts degree in English at York University. I also hold a Master of Teaching degree in Junior/Intermediate/Senior English from the University of Toronto. My educational background has granted me a solid foundation in my skills as an English teacher. I acquired my OCT license in 2020. 

Over the years, I have gained valuable teaching experience as an occasional teacher within the Toronto District School Board and the York Region District School Board. My skills as a teacher include classroom management, building positive relationships, implementing instructional strategies, and providing constructive feedback.

During my graduate research, I explored the topic of cultural relevance and responsiveness within teaching. I value and enjoy including cultural relevance in my teaching material as my commitment to providing inclusive education to all students.
